Developing Clinical Insights
Country specific clinical insights are key to the development of a successful reimbursement submission in our view. In addition to performing both in-depth face to face and Virtual interviews, Payer or Clinician Advisory boards and Delphi Panels, AXIS offers Key Opinion Leader selection support, interviewee recruitment, discussion guide development, clinical pathway mapping, data analysis and compilation, and the provision of a research report in a format tailored to your reimbursement submission.
Literature
Reviews
Literature reviews are a core requirement within the HTA submission process, aimed at identifying and summarising the best available evidence in a given disease area. Our in house team at AXIS have demonstrable experience in the planning and execution of robust literature reviews which are tailored to meet the needs of our clients, including systematic literature reviews, updating of systematic literature reviews to meet the requirements of HTA bodies, targeted/pragmatic literature reviews and evidence reviews.
Network Meta-analysis
Network meta-analyses (NMA) provide a robust and transparent method to combine direct and indirect clinical evidence. This is particularly relevant in HTAs when there is a lack of head-to-head clinical trials, creating a difficult challenge in comparing treatment effects for economic models. The team at AXIS are trained in the construction and utilisation of NMAs and have a comprehensive understanding of the specific NMA requirements of the UK and Irish HTA bodies.
Creation of Bespoke Budget Impact Models
Estimating the potential budget impact of a new technology requires a thorough understanding of both the domestic clinical care pathway and relevant healthcare costs. Accurate, adaptable and well-populated budget impact models are an essential element in achieving reimbursement. The AXIS team are highly trained and has extensive experience in building comprehensive budget impact models that not only accurately capture the longer-term cost impact of introducing new treatments but are specifically designed to meet the requirements of relevant HTA bodies across Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Conduct Micro-costing Studies
Micro-costing is a cost estimation method that allows for precise calculation of the economic costs of health interventions. It has been shown to be very useful in the estimation of the costs associated with the introduction of new interventions and for estimating the true costs to the wider health system. AXIS has completed several micro-costing studies in the acute hospital sector in Ireland and is ideally suited to helping companies develop important cost data in local jurisdictions.
