AXIS Consulting is delighted to announce the confirmed speakers for its 5th Market Access Masterclass. Due to Covid-19, this year’s masterclass will take place as a virtual event on 18th and 23rd September from 9-12.15pm.
This exciting event will review the reimbursement process for Orphan and Oncology medicines as well as submissions to BeNeLuxA and present important relevant perspectives from a number of high-profile guest speakers.
Keynote speakers on 18th September are Dr Valerie Walshe, Senior Health Economist and advisor on drug reimbursement, Health Service Executive who will discuss the funding of new medicines in Ireland and Mr. Philip Watt, CEO Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Chairperson of the Irish Rare Disease Taskforce, who will speak on the role of Irish Patient Organisations in reimbursement decisions of new medicines as well as the process for determining the value of new orphan medicines in Ireland.
Ms. Patricia Heckmann, Chief Pharmacist & National Network lead of Systemic Therapy Programme, National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) and Ms. Fionnuala King, Chief Pharmacist, Acute Hospitals Drug Management Programme will deliver keynote presentations on Wednesday 23rd September. Ms. Heckman will discuss the role of the NCCP in the reimbursement of new oncology medicines and Ms. King will present on the Acute Hospitals Drug Management Programme.
