AXIS SPRING MASTERCLASS MARCH 2021 – WHATS CHANGING WITH ACCESS TO NEW MEDICINES?
AXIS Consulting is excited to announce the confirmed speakers for its Spring Market Access Masterclass “Access to New Medicines in Ireland- What’s Changing? “With the ongoing Government restrictions, this event will take place as two half-day virtual events on 19th & 24th March from 9.00-12.30 pm.
This exciting event will review the overall landscape for access in Ireland with a focus on key changes coming on stream and the impact they will have on the reimbursement process in Ireland.
A special feature of the event will be a detailed look at the pricing application process for new medicines with contributions from Brenda Dooley, AXIS Chief Executive, Ellen McGrath, incoming Head of the HSE’s Corporate Pharmaceutical Unit (CPU), AnneMarie Defrein, Deputy Chief Pharmacist, National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) and Dr. Jerome Coffey, Chair of the Rare Diseases Technology Review Committee (RDTRC).
The perspective of the Private Payer and the process undertaken by a private health insurer on reimbursing high-cost medicines will also be presented by Megan Smith, Head of Medical Strategy, Irish Life Health.
The virtual masterclass will also feature presentations from the AXIS in house team who will also advise on how to write compelling rapid reviews using local data and develop strong HTA submissions.
Attendees will leave with a detailed understanding of the current access landscape, the potential impact of changes coming in 2021 and be better placed to develop well-informed market access plans.
