AXIS Consulting in the UK – PM Society Market Access Interest Group
AXIS Consulting UK & Ireland Founder & CEO and Co-Chair of the PM Society’s Market Access Interest Group was proud to lead and present at its first in-person event in London.
The event titled: Securing Market Access to Medicines for England, Ireland, Scotland Wales – The Landscape Ahead took place on Tuesday, the 23rd at the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
As Co-Chair of the Market Access Interest Group, Brenda arranged an extensive and prominent line-up of speakers and panellists from the UK and Irish pharmaceutical and healthcare industries along with fellow Co-Chair Esther Nzenza. The event explored the key issues facing the UK and Irish Healthcare systems and examine the key drivers to securing market access for medicines in these jurisdictions.
Brenda proudly represented AXIS Consulting UK by presenting on the key market access developments for the Irish and Scottish markets, which is an exciting time for the company as AXIS launches its services in the UK this year!

- Sean Richardson, VP & General Manager UK & Ireland, Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease where he spoke on engaging the rare disease community.
- Esther Nzenza, Founder & CEO of Decisive Consulting presented on the Market Access Outlook for England and Wales.
The last session of the day was the Panel discussion on the “Issues for UK Pharma/life Sciences Sector and Possible Solutions” which was proudly moderated by Brenda and Esther. This panel group comprised of Leslie Galloway, Chairperson of the Ethical Medicines Industry Group (EMIG), Blake Dark, former Commercial Medicines Director for NHS England, Brad Groves, Director, NICE Scientific Advice and Silvy Mardiguian, Market Access Director UK & Ireland, BeiGene.
Many important discussions took place on securing market access to medicines in England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales giving a brilliant overview of the market access industry. In particular, the panel discussion moderated by Brenda and Esther provided great insight into the issues currently facing the pharma and life science sector in the UK and facilitated the opportunity to explore possible solutions.
